The D-40 Standard manifests vintage charm with timeless appointments such as a tortoiseshell celluloid pickguard, white ABS binding, and Guild’s peak logo inlay on the headstock.

This all-new finish is an ultra-thin nitrocellulose lacquer with both satin and gloss qualities that highlight the natural beauty of the tonewoods.With an even smoother texture than a nitro satin finish, the Vintage Gloss features a hand-sprayed soft, silky coating that gives each guitar a worn-in vintage feel and tone, with a modern sleek appearance.
