Violoncello X 4 Well-Known Pieces for Four Celli Vol.2

…The present arrangements for four celli grew out of the wish to expand the repertoire for cello quartet. We thought it would be exciting for cellists to be able to play works like Schumann’s “Scenes from Childhood”, Brahms’ “Piano Waltzes”, “Preludes” by Chopin, or “Dances” by Grieg on their own instrument. We transposed the pieces to keys best suited to the cello and strove to assign to each player rewarding passages and musical highlights so that all players join together in a genuine ensemble experience.
